As a kid, I was the one who was always playing school with friends, or even with my "imaginary class". So naturally, I went to school to be an elementary teacher. I did practicums in 3rd grade, Kindergarten, and student taught in 4th grade--which was my favorite. When I finished student teaching, I already had my first son, so I became an at-home-mom who subbed every now and then. My plan is to go back and teach when all my kids are in school, but until then, I'd love to do an in-home preschool. We bought our house in May and I just couldn't pull preschool together until it was too late...the school year had started. So I had S enrolled in a preschool and decided I'd spend my free time making lesson plans for my "pretend class" and preparing my preschool for whenever it works out to start it. Then my MOTHER HEART kicked in and I realized I already had two little students to use my TEACHER HEART on. S and L became my guinea pigs and we started to have a great time together! I turned our extra room down stairs into the Preschool Room /(Guest Room) where we do Mommy Preschool a few days a week. It's a work in progress, but we have fun!
