Frugal Heart

I'm one of those people who hurts inside when I pay full price for ANYTHING!  I'm one of those people who can't stop talking about a great deal.  And yes...I'm one of those couponers who does extreme couponing--DONE RIGHT!  I've always been frugal, but about a year and a half ago I was introduced to couponing by my fabulous sister-in-law.  Since then, I've tried it, loved it, and even taught a few couponing classes to friends and family.  It has been the BIGGEST blessing to help me stay in budget and also build a storage for my family.

The website I use is http://www.fabulesslyfrugal.com/  I love how they organize their deals and tell me exactly where to find the coupon, and how much out of pocket I will spend.  It's easy to find things on their blog, and easy to scroll past the things on their sight that don't apply to my family.

Besides stayin in budget and building a stockpile, these are
5 Reasons I LOVE Couponing:

1.  Gifting Box:  I collect things in a box throughout the year that I get for free or really cheap through couponing.  Then when it comes time to give a wedding or baby shower, or sometimes even birthday gift, I have a pile to choose from and I didn't pay anything close to full price for it.

2.  Aids Cheap Preschool Activities:  As I make my lists through the couponing deals, I always run into great deals for holiday items, or find great clearances after a holiday.  Using my TEACHER HEART I buy them and figure out how I'll use them later to make a preschool game or activity.

3.  Medicine Stockpile:  As cold and flu season starts, I start to get tons of free or under $2 remedies.  I stock up and then when my family is sick, we go down to our storage room and pick from the shelf, rather than going to the store and paying $8 for something.

4.  Excess for Giving:  Because couponing allows me to build a storage of food and other items, I always have plenty to give to those in need, without feeling like I have none left for my family.

5.  Name Brands:  I used to buy everything generic.  Through couponing, I can often get name brands for free or at least half the price I would pay for the generic brand.
